Fairytale Page: The Mystery of the Abandoned Ship, 17 Colored Pencils, and Santa's Mailbox
Chapter 1. The Docked Frigate and 17 Forgotten Pencils
One fine day (though it was not so fine, since the Sea Monarch was once again staging a naval battle with the Lord of Air and Winds), an old pirate ship was washed ashore at Water Station No. 131 «Water’s Water».
To this day, debates rage on as to whom it belonged:
- The Green Parrot proves that the frigate still remembers Captain Flint;
- The News-Swallows swear they saw it near distant shores and recognized one of the pirates by his unusual hat—he had once studied in Odesa at the Institute of Marine Engineering (the same place as Zhvanetsky!);
- And the Quill from ABVGDeyka — the very one that escaped from a cup and lives in constant fear that mischievous Pippi Longstocking will grab it again to decorate her bandana—just stays as quiet as a mouse.
Regardless, the fact remains: the ship ran its bow into the shore right next to Water Station No. 131 «Water’s Water».
For long years in its dark hold, 17 Colored Pencils rolled idle from side to side. During the rainy season, gloom overcame them, and they sighed mournfully. But on rare sunny days, they would break into dance and try to draw a vibrant rainbow directly on the slippery deck boards. Spending their days alongside them were their faithful friends:
- The Graphite Pencil — an indefatigable rhythm section;
- The Metal Pencil Sharpener — tapping out a steady beat;
- The Rubber Eraser — the permanent conductor;
- And the Plastic Cup, scooped out of the sea wave with a butterfly net, in which the whole company gathered in the evenings to sing in chorus and keep each other warm.
Chapter 2. Snowdrifts, Snowmen, and News-Swallows
When winter holidays arrive, all WellnessMetro activity moves to the snow-covered forests where Santa’s Mailbox opens. But the history of this post office is full of unexpected twists and harsh trials!
The Magpie’s Feathered Failures: Originally, the Magpie was appointed the main forest mail carrier. It was a responsible assignment, but the Magpie froze catastrophically in mid-air, constantly fell into deep snowdrifts, and lost precious envelopes containing children’s wishes.
Snowmen Step In: Seeing such a predicament, Santa reasoned wisely: «Since the Magpie keeps falling into snowdrifts, the mail should be handed over to those who aren’t afraid of snow!» Thus, the Snowmen became the chief postmasters. Meanwhile, with a sigh of relief, the Magpie flew off to the WMetro Central Station, where she made herself a cozy hollow in a warm telecommunication node.
The Great Thaw and Warm Lands: Order seemed to be restored. But a new trouble surfaced: when letters needed to be delivered to warm climates and southern stations, the poor Snowmen began to melt right on their routes! Delivery was threatened.
The «News-Swallows» Volunteer Landing Force: Winged rescuers came to the rescue. The News-Swallows organized an international volunteer project! They took on long-distance flights and the delivery of good tidings, while the Snowmen remained in charge of stationary snow-covered sorting centers and receiving guests.
Chapter 3. New Year Volunteer Landing Force
Now, for the winter holidays, all residents of WellnessMetro flock to Santa’s Mailbox! The load on the Snowmen during the festive days is enormous—millions of envelopes, paints, gift boxes for packaging, postcards, and good tidings.
It is here, to help the Snowmen, that our brave team heads! The Squirrel-Brushes are responsible for virtual packaging, crafting bright bows, and adding magical fluffiness to every letter. The 17 Colored Pencils, led by the Graphite Pencil and the Eraser, take on the most important duty: they help children and adults color their dreams, sign greeting cards, and bring vibrant colors to each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in every New Year’s greeting!

When winter holidays arrive, absolutely everyone goes on vacation—including projects that are changing the world for the better! Imagine that each of the 17 SDG goals is one of our magical Colored Pencils arriving at the fairytale winter mansion «Luchina».
We invite you to turn on your imagination and continue the fairytale:
I. Find a Chamber for the Pencil: Where do you think the Pencils decided to stay during their winter holidays?
- Could it be in the cozy room of the Postmen Snowmen, right next to the fairytale postal props?
- Or in the guest chamber of Santa himself or his faithful friend and traveling companion, the Jolly Elk?
- Or maybe they chose a secret creative loft at the very top of the mansion’s attic?
II. Complete the Image and Narrative: Imagine what your favorite SDG Pencil looks like in a winter outfit! Is it wearing a Snegurochka fur coat, a Snowflake outfit, or a funny protective cap so similar to Santa’s red hat?
And now, the main fairytale challenge: draw or describe a winter scene/chamber where your flagship SDG color will be the main dominant shade! Fill the fairytale landscape with the exact color of your goal—let it shine in frost patterns on the windows, fairytale snowdrifts, decor, and clothing.
III.
